What You'll Need Beyond Your Computer
Audio & Video Setup
Most built-in laptop speakers work perfectly fine. But if you're in a noisy environment, headphones help you catch every detail during recipe walkthroughs. Some courses include optional live sessions where a microphone becomes useful—though it's not mandatory for participation.
Kitchen Access Requirements
Since we're teaching meal prep, you'll need access to a kitchen. Doesn't have to be elaborate. A basic setup with a stove, fridge, and counter space covers most lessons. We design our courses assuming standard home kitchens, not professional facilities.
Storage Space Considerations
Our platform streams most content, so you won't fill up your device. That said, some students download recipe PDFs and meal planning templates for offline reference. Budget around 500MB if you plan to save everything locally.
Software Requirements
Everything runs in your browser—no special software to install. You might want a PDF reader for downloadable guides and a basic spreadsheet app for meal planning templates. Free options like Google Docs work great.
- PDF reader (Adobe Reader, Preview, or browser built-in)
- Spreadsheet app for meal planners (optional but helpful)
- Camera access if participating in live feedback sessions
- JavaScript and cookies enabled in browser
Accessibility Features
We've built our platform to work with screen readers and keyboard navigation. Video content includes captions, and text can be resized without breaking layouts. If you need specific accommodations, reach out before enrolling so we can ensure everything works for you.
Account Creation Basics
You'll need an email address to create your account and receive course updates. We send confirmation emails, weekly tips, and occasional reminders about upcoming lessons. Make sure your email filters don't catch our messages—check spam folders if you're expecting something.
Payment Processing
For enrollment, we accept major credit cards and PayPal. Transactions happen through secure, encrypted connections. You'll need to enable pop-ups for the payment window—some browsers block them by default.
Time Zone and Scheduling
Our platform adapts to your local time zone automatically. Live sessions show in your time, and deadline reminders adjust based on where you are. Most content is available on-demand anyway, so you can learn whenever suits your schedule.
Malaysian students often ask about peak hours. Our servers handle traffic well regardless, but if you're downloading larger files, late evening typically offers faster speeds due to lower overall usage.
